Prescription Medicines
According to Virginia State law (54.1-3303), prescriptions may only be issued to patients with whom the veterinarian has a bona fide veterinarian-client-patient relationship. No medications may be prescribed without seeing the pet.
Some medications such as Heartworm preventatives, seizure, thyroid, allergy, and nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory medication, require regular blood testing to ensure safety and efficacy.
Just as it is with any pharmacy, medications may not be returned after purchase.
To prevent errors and allow doctors to review patient records, please allow 48 hours after calling in a refill prescription.

Due to government regulations, a waiver must be signed for all controlled medications. If your pet has been prescribed a controlled drug, please read and sign the following form.
